What is Free Play?

Free play is the best! It is when chidlren have full freedon to play in whatever way they want.

They choose everything. Where they play, what they play, who they play with, what materials they might use.

Inside ot outside. Alone or with others. Using equipment and materials or not. In nature, built environments, in the neighbouthood street, in the car, at home. Thinking or moving. Being very active, or a sitting, resting time. These are just the start of the many many choices children can have to play.
